“The BLUEPRINTS”The focus of T.A.P. is to match effective mentors with mentees to provide volunteer tutoring for academic and/or social change for social skills building and to increase academic grade point average (GPA).... The T.A.P. mentees will be African American males, ages 10-18 that are in juvenile delinquent status and mentees in need of assistance of Positive Male Role models. The T.A.P. mentors will be adult males from diverse walks of life and backgrounds. Mentors will provide versatility ranging from bilingual mentors, seniors and college students. T.A.P. mentoring sessions will be conducting peer mentoring, one-on-one mentoring between mentor/mentee and personal and career development. T.A.P.’s desired outcomes will be to persuade, manage and lead by example, the youth to be productive citizens to family, community and the U.S.A. Effectively immediately T.A.P. will be located at the Glen-Nova Christian Academy located in Lithonia, Ga. Recruitment of mentors and mentees will be conducted from volunteer registrations and word of mouth. Volunteer registration will be conducted monthly T.B.A. T.A.P. program success will be evaluated on every level due to performance base mentoring. The management team will be served by experienced leaders, guidance counselors, educators, law enforcement, child psychiatrists, pastors, parents and retired workers. A financial budget plan will be developed by an advisory Board, Board of Directors, youth committee and tax exempt organizations. T.A.P. will be implementing monthly community recruitment planning, background checks through National Mentoring Partnership, Screening of Volunteers, training for all participants, volunteers and youth on Policies, Procedures and current laws through Mentoring.org, a national mentoring website. T.A.P. will be evaluated on every level from the Board of Directors progress reports to the mentor/mentee evaluation for youth development.
